Project Management: A Compact Guide is divided into 3 sections. The first section contains a preamble, the objectives of the book and the type of readers who will benefit from reading it. Section 2’s five chapters present in an organized and structured way the definitions and concepts of project management, an overview of the PM framework, the project lifecycle, processes and knowledge areas.

The second section occupies most of the content of the book. It discusses the different phases, from initiation to closeout. Under the five process groups, it also identifies important documents such as the project charter and different plans.
